Position:   Telecommunications Project Manager Specialist

Category: Contract to Hire

Location:  Dallas, Texas

 

Summary

 

The Sr. Telecom Project Manager Specialist will be responsible for managing and participating in the

design and implementation of a world-class, converged telecom network infrastructure.

 

Requirements

 

·         Utility experience is a must (PG&E, TXU Energy, Consolidated Edison, etc.)

·         Must have managed large Telecom Utility Projects ($7-10m plus in size)in a utility facility (PG&E, TXU Energy, Consolidated Edison, etc.)

·         Must have “converged infrastructure” experience

·         10 years of telecommunications experience

·         Ability to manage activities and deliverables in a multi-vendor environment

·         Proficient knowledge (or working knowledge and solid understanding) of telecommunications

technologies and concepts including:

·         Wireless and Wireline data and voice communications

·         Network performance management systems

·         Optimization of WAN designs (redundancies, cost analysis)

·         7 layer OSI model

·         RF communications technologies (Microwave, WiMax, Licensed & Unlicensed Spectrum)

·         LMR solutions

·         Structured cabling systems

·         Fiber Optic Networks

·         TDM voice and VolP systems

·         MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, SONET, T1- and sub-T1, low speed analog circuits

·         SCADA communications

·         Telecom Tower StructureS, Site surveys and assessments

·         Telco carrier services, processes and interfaces

·         Network architectures and functions (core, backhaul and access)

·         lP Network solutions (routing, switching, QoS, security)

·         Evaluation and procurement of telecommunications hardware and solutions

·         Familiarity with critical infrastructure environments (Utilities, Public Safety and Transportation)

·         lmplementations of and adherence to change management processes

·         Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills

·         Strong project management methodologies

·         Ability to budget and control costs on large scale projects

·         Effective project planning and documentation

·         Effective organization and resource management skills

·         Ability to visualize end to end solutions and understand the "big picture"

·         Results oriented and task driven

·         Provide thought leadership related to telecom solutions

·         CCDP, CTNS or equivalent experience

 

Work Authorization
